Red Ribbon Club, Markanda National College Shahabad Markanda is a voluntary on-campus intervention has aim to create awareness about the high risk perception and preventing HIV/AIDS as well as promoting voluntary blood donation among the students. The Red Ribbon Club conducts many activities round the year to create awareness among various section of society.

Objectives of RRC unit MNC, Shahabad
  • To promote Voluntary non-remunerated Blood Donation among youth as well as among other peoples
  • To reduce new HIV infection among youth by raising their risk perception through awareness of Sex, Sexuality and HIV & AIDS
    To create awareness among students to help and support People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV)  and reducing stigma and discrimination against them
Activities under Red Ribbon Club
1.      Organization of expert lecture on HIV/AIDS and Blood Donation
2.      Decoration of tree and plants with red ribbon and Red Ballon
3.      Creating awareness about AIDS toll Free Number 1097 and Govt. AIDS App
4.      Organize Poster and Slogan writing competition on HIV/AIDS and Blood Donation
5.      Creating awareness by making Human red Ribbon Chain
